Now is the Time!

I am learning a new song on the ukulele. At least it's new for me. It's an old mainstay worship song called Now is the Time to Worship, and it made me stop and think about Fifty5five's upcoming trip to Cambodia.

Fifty5five has been invited to participate in a third trip providing services for Agape International Missions. This trip is unique. We will be partnering with AIM, and through them with Lotus Kids Club. LKC began as a secular outreach to the children and families of Siem Reap. Through the partnership of AIM and LKC, Christ's love can be seen by all. Needless to say, Fifty5five is excited to partner with AIM and LKC, as part of this outreach.

As of today, we have our team assembled and our travel booked. Eight brothers and sisters dedicated to opening doors to Christ's love through children's ministries. In my next blog post, I hope to have some names and pictures for you. I have to admit, I am excited about how God has opened new doors in an area of the world we have been involved with since 2007.

What does all this have to do with "Now is the Time to Worship?" Each time we plan and embark on a trip, there is spiritual warfare. And that's a very good thing. Without it I would question Christ's blessing of the mission. With it, I am absolutely sure this is right where I am supposed to be! I am already starting to see stirrings of warfare surrounding this trip and I am excited about it. Warfare this early can only mean God has great plans. I can also see God's hand is quashing the warfare before it gets a solid foothold.

Prayer is a powerful tool. Prayer is also one way we can worship God. It is a call and a challenge to each and every one of us. NOW IS THE TIME TO WORSHIP! In prayer and through prayer for God's will surrounding Fifty5five, AIM, LKC, each traveler, and each and every participant in the teacher training and vacation bible studies happening as part of God's plan for the people of Siem Reap this coming October 25 through November 5.
